This is a picture of my parents. Words cannot express how important they are to me. An old friend of mine just lost her mother, very suddenly. That got me thinking about the possibility of not having my parents around. I just feel completely awful for my friend because just the thought of not having my parents around is terrible, let alone having to deal with the reality of it. I also began to think about how lucky I am that I have another set of parents in my life, Pete's parents. They are wonderful people who have welcomed me into their lives. They even allowed lots of my family to crash their Thanksgiving get-together! I know Thanksgiving was last week, but I am still stuck on being very thankful for the wonderful family I have!
