Parents
This is a picture of my parents. Words cannot express how important they are to me. An old friend of mine just lost her mother, very suddenly. That got me thinking about the possibility of not having my parents around. I just feel completely awful for my friend because just the thought of not having my parents around is terrible, let alone having to deal with the reality of it. I also began to think about how lucky I am that I have another set of parents in my life, Pete's parents. They are wonderful people who have welcomed me into their lives. They even allowed lots of my family to crash their Thanksgiving get-together! I know Thanksgiving was last week, but I am still stuck on being very thankful for the wonderful family I have! I sure do miss the ones I can't see everyday!!Thursday, November 24, 2005

Another one of my favorite things.
This is a picture of my mp3 player...the Creative Zen Micro. I love it. I call him "Little Guy". He is another reason I am so glad to have E back because I am able to listen to him because Honda had a wonderful idea to put an outlet that you can use to connect an audio device and it plays right through the radio without an fm modulator. It's GREAT! Anyway, I love my 'Little Guy' and am very happy these days because I have been able to listen to my favorite music on the way to work this whole week! I need to download some newer music, but just haven't found the time for some reason. Anyway, with all of the iPods lovers out there, I wanted to give a shout out to one of my favorite things...my Little Guy!FYI - this morning I listened to all 80s songs on my way to work. Those sure do put me in a good mood! Maybe I stumbled upon something that should be prescribed to help treat depression? Probably not, but it sure does make me smile to listen to a little 'Jesse's Girl' or 'I Think We're Alone Now'!

Before & After

SO glad to have E back! There are some paint problems we're trying to get fixed, but at least I can drive it!! That's what is the most important!
My advice to everyone...try as hard as you can to not get in an accident!! It is a pain!

I find this odd...
I was looking for something interesting to blog about and came across this story:
House With Bride for Sale for $600,000 Nov 2, 4:26 PM (ET) DENVER (AP) - For $600,000, a 40- to 60-year-old man can buy a house in a trendy Denver neighborhood that comes complete with a bride. Deborah Hale, 48, has placed an ad on eBay offering to sell her home in the Washington Park area to a compatible man who wants to spend his life with her. She also has her own Web site outlining the deal. "I'm looking for my soul mate," Hale told the Rocky Mountain News Tuesday. She did not immediately return a telephone message left at her home Wednesday. Hale lives part-time in the 1910 bungalow-style house. She also has a jewelry business in Albuquerque, N.M. She has received about 60 responses. "I have to say that the e-mails that I have got have been very kind and very nice," Hale said. The deadline for bidding is Valentine's Day 2006. Her eBay ad is listed under "House With Bride" or you can visit her website at http://www.housewithbride.com.
If you look at her website, Deborah is actually a very attractive woman so I wonder why she would need to resort to this method to meet her "soul mate". I also don't understand why a man would want to meet their mate this way. I think marriages are hard enough and if these two people barely know each other, I think theirs would be even harder. I suppose Deborah will have her lawyer draft something official that states something like she will get to keep the house if the man bails or if it doesn't work out, but I still think this is very strange. Why couldn't she just use match.com like everyone else???
